AuthorizeNet

Authorize.Net™
Developed by NETSolutions International, Inc., Authorize.Net is a server-based transaction processing system developed by NETSolutions International, Inc. that enables businesses with approved merchant accounts to authorize, process, and manage credit card and electronic check transactions via a secure Internet connection. There are two basic components of the Authorize.Net system: Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal and Authorize.Net WebLink.

Virtual Terminal simulates a standard POS (Point-of-Sale) terminal by enabling businesses with an Authorize.Net account to authorize, process, and manage credit card transactions in a secure, online environment. Since it can be accessed by an authenticated user from any computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection, it replaces the need for a physical authorization terminal or software and provides a scalable solution for businesses that accept mail or phone order sales.

WebLink, enables a business to automatically accept, authorize and process credit cards and check orders directly from their Web site. When online customers are ready to purchase products or services from the business' Web site, WebLink either captures the necessary information (name, credit card number, etc.) from the site's own secure order form or displays a standard WebLink transaction form, hosted on an Authorize.Net server, for the customer to complete. Implementing WebLink is a matter of simply inserting a few lines of HTML code in the business' online order form to establish the link.

Authorize.Net supports most available shopping cart software, so it integrates easily with most e-commerce solutions.
