Installation and Configuration

Majorcool is a web interface maintence tool for Majordomo. To install it, telnet or SSH to your virtual server and do the following:

Run the following commands that match your Virtual Server O/S:

NOTE: If your Virtual Server was ordered after December 1, 1999, you are likely running FreeBSD. To find out which O/S your Virtual Server is running, use the uname command:

% uname

FreeBSD
% vinstall majordomo

BSD/OS
% cd
% tar xvf /usr/local/contrib/majorcool.tar
% cd ~/usr/local/majorcool
% ./Configure

The Configuration utility will ask you a series of questions to setup Majorcool. To accept all the defaults just hit enter, otherwise you have the option of changing any of the options. The only question you must answer with text is the name for your Majorcool Interface.

When you have completed the Configuration utilit,y you can run Majorcool by entering:

Where YOURDOMAIN.COM is your virtual server's domain name and "majordomo" is the default name for the CGI (You have the option to call this something else in the Configuration utility).
